Our story
Two decades on the tools, one shared standard
Barnes Sklare Remodeling is run by Chuck Sklare & Chris Barnes— an uncle-and-nephew team who each bring more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the trade. They’ve been in business together since 2014.
They formed it around a simple idea: build the kind of remodeling company they'd actually want to hire to work on their own homes. That means showing up early, communicating clearly, keeping a clean job site, and standing behind the finished work.
Today we do kitchens, bathrooms, full basement finishes and custom carpentry for homeowners across Summit County and the surrounding area — and most of our work comes from neighbors who saw what we did down the street.
